What this website collects.

Things you type: none.

This site has no contact form, no booking form, no quote calculator, no account area, no newsletter box and no live chat. There is nowhere on it to enter your name, your email, your phone number or your card details. Every button that looks like a contact button simply opens your own phone app, your own messaging app or your own email app.

Things collected automatically.

• Standard hosting records. Like every website, the server that hands you these pages records the request: your IP address, the page you asked for, the time, and what browser and device you are on. That is how the site gets delivered and how problems get found.
• Google Analytics 4. Which pages you looked at, in what order, how long you stayed, whether you had been here before, what device and browser you used, roughly which city you are in (worked out from your IP address, not from your phone's GPS), and how you arrived, for example from Google or from a Facebook ad. Google receives this information and processes it for us.
• Call and text taps. When you tap a Call or Text button anywhere on this site, an event is recorded saying a tap happened and which page it happened on. That is the whole event. It does not carry your phone number, and it cannot see, record or store your call or your message.
• A Meta pixel. It tells Meta, the company that owns Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, that a browser loaded this site, which page it loaded, and whether it tapped Call or Text. Meta can often match that to your Facebook or Instagram account, which is what makes it possible to advertise to people who have visited the site and to see whether an ad led to a phone call. It does not receive your name, your phone number, or anything you say in a call or a message. You can switch it off using the control further down this page.
• Google Fonts. The two typefaces on this site load from Google's servers, which means Google's font servers see your IP address when the page opens. No cookie is set by that.

What is not happening here.

• No session recording, no heatmaps, no screen replays. Nobody is watching your mouse move.
• No payments are taken on this website and no card details are collected by it.
• No precise location. Nothing on this site asks your browser or phone for GPS.
• No sensitive personal information as California defines it: no Social Security number, driver's licence, passport, financial account, health, race, religion, union membership, sexuality, biometric data or the contents of your messages.
• No data brokers. Nothing collected here is passed to anyone other than the service providers named on this page.

When you call, text or email.

The moment you actually contact Caribbean, you are giving real information: your name, your phone number or email address, your vehicle, where the vehicle is, and whatever else you say. That is used for one purpose, which is quoting and doing the work you asked about, and following up with you about it.

Cookies and similar things.

A cookie is a small file a website leaves on your device so it can recognise the same browser again. This site sets none of its own for advertising. The ones below come from the two measurement tools.

If you turn JavaScript off in your browser, none of the tracking on this site runs at all, because all of it is JavaScript.

Your privacy choices.

This switch turns off both Google Analytics and the Meta pixel on this browser on this device. It takes effect immediately, the page reloads once, and nothing else about the site changes. You do not have to give a reason and you will not be treated any differently for using it.

The switch is per browser and per device, because that is the only place the choice can be stored without us tracking you in order to remember that you did not want to be tracked. If you clear your cookies and site data, tell us again, or use the next option.

Global Privacy Control.

If your browser or a browser extension sends a Global Privacy Control signal, this site treats it as you asking to opt out, and switches the tracking off before anything loads. You do not have to do anything else. California law recognises that signal, and so does this site.

Other ways to stop it.

• Ask us directly. Call (831) 440-6897 or email washcaribbean@gmail.com and say you want to opt out. It will be actioned by hand.
• Block cookies or use private browsing in your browser settings.
• Install Google's own analytics opt out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, which works on every site, not just this one.
• Change what Meta is allowed to do with visits like this one in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings, under Ad preferences.

Your rights in California.

California residents have specific rights over information a business holds about them. You can use all of them here, free, and you will not be charged more, served slower or treated worse for asking.

• The right to know. Ask what information is held about you, where it came from, why it is held and who it has gone to. You can ask for a copy.
• The right to delete. Ask for it to be deleted. Some things have to be kept anyway, for example an invoice that tax law requires be retained, and if that applies you will be told exactly what was kept and why.
• The right to correct. If something held about you is wrong, ask for it to be fixed.
• The right to opt out of sale or sharing. Explained below.
• The right not to be discriminated against. Using any of these rights will never change your price, your place in the schedule or the quality of the work.

What "sharing" means, and why it matters here.

California law uses "sharing" as a specific term. It means handing your information to another company so that advertising can be targeted at you across different websites and apps. That is exactly what a Meta advertising pixel does. It is not selling, nobody pays for your details, but the law treats it as something you get to refuse.

Right now there is nothing to refuse, because no advertising pixel is running on this site. The switch is here anyway, and it works in advance: if you turn it off today it stays off, including for anything added later.

You refuse it with the switch in Your privacy choices, by sending a Global Privacy Control signal, or by calling or emailing and saying so.

How to make a request.

Call (831) 440-6897, text the same number, or email washcaribbean@gmail.com. Say which of the rights above you are using. There is no form to fill in.

Because this site has no accounts, there is no way to know who you are without asking. So you will be asked for enough detail to match you to what is held, usually the phone number or email address you used to get in touch and roughly when. That information is used only to answer your request. If a request cannot be verified it will be refused, and you will be told why.

You will get an acknowledgement within 10 business days and an answer within 45 days. If it needs longer, you will be told before that runs out, and it will never take more than 90 days.

Someone else can make a request for you if you have given them written permission to act as your authorised agent. They will be asked for proof of that.

Children.

This is a website about detailing cars. It is not aimed at children, and information is not knowingly collected from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, call or email and it will be deleted.

Changes to this page.

If the site starts collecting something new, this page gets updated first and the date at the top changes. Adding a booking form, an online payment option or a new advertising tool would all count.
